Opportunities From: Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity

We would love to invite a homebuyer family to represent Habitat at the 16th Annual Fox Cities Butterfly Festival! Your role would be to host a small booth with Habitat information and lead a simple, hands-on activity for children ages 2–12.

We’ll provide everything you need—materials, instructions, and supplies. All we’re missing are your friendly faces!

The Butterfly Festival is a free, family-centered event filled with educational activities and fun, and it all wraps up with a beautiful mass butterfly release.

Homebuyer volunteers:
1. Assist staff in the day-to-day activities of the ReStore backroom.
2. Greet the donors and be able to identify acceptable and unacceptable donations.
3. Assist in unloading donations and purchases from our donors and vendors.
4. Ability to use a variety of cleaning products to clean/sanitize donations.
5. Assist with keeping the store clean and tidy by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and dusting.
6. Identify items that need a little TLC in order make them sellable, items that can be recycled, and items that can be given to other organizations
7. Ability to make minor repairs on donated items
8. Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Homebuyer volunteers:
1. Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
2. Be able to identify areas in need of restocking Identify items that have been on the salesfloor too long.
3. Help our customers with their questions about products, materials and sales promotions.
4. Take priced product from carts and place it in its respectful home on the sales floor.
5. Stock and face shelves
6. Help customers with taking paid merchandise out to their vehicles
7. Limited basis: Assist customers with their purchases through operating cash registers, processing credit card sales and misc. duties.
8. Advocate and share with customers information about our homebuyer program
