This role is responsible for welcoming and thanking volunteers as they arrive, and assisting other staff and Volunteer Support volunteers with any other tasks as needed.

Wall Layout/Stairs/Components: snap chalk lines on “dance floor,” components – build windows and door frames, install stairs to basement

9 upper cabinets, 5 lower cabinets,16 in total; 2908 E Meadowlark Ln, Appleton
4-6 volunteers needed.

Merchandiser volunteers:
1. Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
2. Be able to identify areas in need of restocking Identify items that have been on the salesfloor too long.
3. Help our customers with their questions about products, materials and sales promotions.
3. Take priced product from carts and place it in its respectful home on the sales floor.
4. Stock and face shelves
5. Advocate and share with customers what we do in the community.

Training is required for this volunteer role.
Reasonable accommodations will be provided.

Customer service volunteers:

1. Assist staff in the day-to-day activities of the ReStore backroom.
2. Greet the donors and be able to identify acceptable and unacceptable donations.
3. Assist in unloading donations and purchases from our donors and vendors.
4. Ability to use a variety of cleaning products to clean/sanitize donations.
5. Assist with pricing merchandise to place on the sales floor.
6. Assist with keeping the store clean and tidy by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and dusting.
7. Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

We would love to invite a homebuyer family to represent Habitat at the 16th Annual Fox Cities Butterfly Festival! Your role would be to host a small booth with Habitat information and lead a simple, hands-on activity for children ages 2–12.

We’ll provide everything you need—materials, instructions, and supplies. All we’re missing are your friendly faces!

The Butterfly Festival is a free, family-centered event filled with educational activities and fun, and it all wraps up with a beautiful mass butterfly release.

When you set up, there is a table on site, as well as a cooler, and a roll of garbage bags. Lunch is typically a half-hour break, but it could run over depending on the situation. Feel free to clean up once everyone has finished eating and they return to work.

Donation Drivers and Assistants:
1. Operate the ReStore box truck to collect donated items from residences or businesses, carefully load the items into the truck, and transport them to the ReStore.
2.Assess the quality of donated items for acceptance based on ReStore guidelines.
3. Provide excellent customer service during donation pick-ups, representing the ReStore's values.
4. Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds.
5. Perform regular safety checks and basic maintenance on the truck (e.g., checking fluid levels). 
6. Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

You must be 18 years old. Must be specially trained.
