Opportunities From: Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity

This role is responsible for the end-of-day clean-up of the host site, and packing things up on the final day. This ensures the host site is left in the condition we found it, everything is set up and ready to go for the following day, and at the end of the event, everything is packed up and ready for Logistics to take back to the Warehouse. Tasks may include sweeping, taking out garbage and recycling, and giving a quick wipe-down of tables, kitchen area, etc.

On Saturday, May 16th, Habitat for Humanity is hosting a family friendly “Spread Kindness” event during Menasha's Rock the Block.

Projects will include creating a kindness rock garden, preparing meals for the Hope Fridge, and small acts of kindness for neighbors. Be sure to join us for a lunch celebration after!

Spread Kindness at Rock the Block

We are looking for 6-8 student leaders (ages 15+) to help lead the activities alongside a few youth who are already helping shape the experience.

This is a great opportunity for students who enjoy leadership, service, and working with people of all ages. There’s also a bit of room for them to help co-create the event with other youth leaders.

We’re asking participating students to:

Projects will include things like preparing meals for the Hope Fridge, painting kindness signs or rocks, and organizing small acts of kindness for neighbors.

Students will also be invited to stay for lunch as we celebrate the impact of the day together. If they’re interested and able, there’s also an opportunity for them to help promote the event within their school community.

This role is responsible for setup at the host site and preparation of supplies. This would entail moving chairs and tables, setting out project binders and tubs on the tables, setting out boxes of shirts for volunteers to receive at check-in, and ensuring personal protective equipment (PPE) is available for volunteers.

This role is responsible for getting volunteers signed in upon arrival and directed to their project. You will work as a team to ensure the sign-in process moves smoothly and quickly. A list of volunteer names will be provided as well as their shift and project number.

This role is responsible for Saturday’s celebration day tasks which include setting up for the event, greeting people at the door to create excitement for the celebration, and helping arrange volunteers for group photo.
